Well I had a lot of fun with this one.  Recorded at my sister in law's cottage using Cubase and a Zoom R24.  It all started with the bass line which I came up with many years ago.  But last week it turned into a fun little ditty about my fantasies for world musical domination :).

What is theMerge? It's not a band. It's a project, it's a collaboration, it's co-creation. It's drawing together musicians from across Canada to showcase their talents and ideas.

theMerge is a project over 20 years in the making involving the combined talents of musicians from Toronto, Winnipeg, Victoria, Calgary, and all points in between. We have one goal - to make the best music we can

DON'T JUST LIKE, LISTEN; DON'T JUST LISTEN, COMMENT; DON'T JUST COMMENT, SHARE!
Anyone can click a like button; it doesn't prove you actually listened! Anyone that doesn't show proof they are actually listening will be removed from playlists! If the only support you give is to cynically click like buttons, you are contributing to the eventual demise of #Soundcloud and other music sites; without these sites to post your music on you are basically screwed; there won't be much point to making tunes if you don't have any kind of audience!

If you don't give REAL support, the support you get will eventually come to an end; we all eventually get tired of giving and getting nothing back. In the end, not only does it ruin the chances of everyone else, it will destroy your own. It is also a big mistake to underestimate the talent of others and overestimate your own! Don't assume their music can't be as good as yours; burying your head in the sand might protect your ego, but it doesn't do much for your reputation!

If you can't show respect, you don't deserve respect, so don't just click the like button, listen, and leave feedback to prove you listened. If you don't get into the habit of doing this, #Soundcloud won't be around much longer!

CREATING TUNES THAT MEAN SOMETHING....IT'S ABOUT BEING TRUE TO OURSELVES!

Seems #Soundcloud are now under new management, and will be staying in business, but for how long is dependent on how much activity we, the musicians, create and sustain!
