if ever this was someone that lived, breathed and slept radio, this was the man! Allusion FM broadcast to Paisley area and could be picked up over most parts of the city on 100.8 FM - a popular frequency for pirate radio at the time. DJ Allusion and Co could be heard almost every night on the radio and quickly gained a big cult of listeners. After mounting pressure to the DTI from Revival FM in cumbernauld - a station that had been licensed to broadcast on 100.8 - Allusion FM was raided and shut down. defiant as always DJ Allusion had no intensions of stepping down and a newTransmitter was ordered and Allusion FM was back on air before DJ Allusion had even made it to court for the latest offence. In court this was mentioned in court and the judge handed out a £1000 fine - the maxium ever in scottish history for illegal bradcasting. also, all of DJ Allusions radio equipment was seized by the courts. Allusion FM however continued. but in August of 2004 DJ Allusion was tragically killed at work. his then partner Yvonne kept Allusion FM going in DJ allusion's honour, however this was short lived and it was decided that Allusion FM would close. Various pirates in Glasgow got together and did various tribute broadcasts for the popular DJ - all with tremendous success. RIP Gary - you beat the DTI!

Allusion FM 100.8 - DJ Allusion (2002)

Active FM started in the early 2000s. they were on every weekend without fail on 105.2. however this was to be short lived as the the now defunct Saga FM could not get on air till Active FM was takin off! this led to the DTI raiding the station.

Active FM periodically broadcasts to this day on 87.9 FM - for this reason we have chosen not to reveal any other details about the station

Horizon FM started in 1997 from the south side of Glasgow, running 5 watts on 103.6 FM - A popular frequency for pirate radio and shared among them. Like Force FM - Horizon was a properly run station, however, due to not being on air alot with no proper schedule, the station never really kicked off. the last known broadcast was in the summer of 2000

the undisputed king of pirate radio in Glasgow! Broadcasting from the top of the Mitchelhill flats in Castlemilk - Force FM where one of the very few pirates in Glasgow that where in it for the music and had DJ & Radio talent. this was quickly recognised by the people and Force FMs popularity grew very quickly. it was said people were traveling from east central scotland to Glasgow just to tune in to Force FM. Despite only broadcasting with a low powered 5 Watt Transmitter their massive height gave them a big advantage. from their base - their signal would reach all over glasgow and most of the west central built!

Force FM suddenly stopped broadcasting in 2000. however they made a very brief comeback in 2002

Force FM 103.7 (Noble Whitelaw & DJ Livie) (2000)

Launched in mid 1999 under Max FM broadcasting on 100.8. After a shirt time on this frequency - 103.6 became the choice as the latter was causing a hefty amount of TV interference.

then in 2001 the station was rebranded as Mixology fm and the transmitter, a fairly low powered 5 watt VFO was upgraded to a 30 watt PLL.
Broadcasting from Barrhead - Mixology covered the entire south side of Glasgow, breaking into the north. after mounting pressure from the now defunct beat 106 about the problem of Pirate Radio in Glasgow the then DTI mounted a project to clear the dial of Pirates broadcasting in Glasgow and Mixology along with others was targeted. in April of 2002 they raided the studio, armed with a search warrant. very luckly at the back of the studio was a burn where the transmitter ended! no charges were brought and no equipment was takin due to lack of evidence! few!!!

Force FM 103.7 - Noble Whitelaw (2000)

broadcasting from Foxbar paisley with a Veronica 30 watt Transmitter. Carl H's equipment was impressive to say the least and hell of alot to loose! a top notch set of Technics 2010s, Pioneer mixer with effects also set up to his transmitter he had a 32 band EQ to give a Superior sound on his output. Carl was a very quiet individual and kept him self to himself in the pirate scene (probably the best way to be) he went on as and when he felt like and his signal covered paisley and crossed over to the southside of Glasgow. a station that is missed and would be a joy to here again!
