This show explores Kate's 2011 album Directors Cut, a reworking of selected songs from her previous albums The Sensual World (1989) and The Red Shoes (1993). It examines public response and reviews, chart position, and her single Deeper Understanding, with accompanying video. It also includes quotations from Kate about being finally granted permission to use words from James Joyce's Ulysses verbatim, which led to her song The Sensual World morphing into Flower of The Mountain, and the way she always wanted her song to sound.

'Not a Kate Bush show' from Sky! This is a special celebration of the world's most famous music festival, that took place over three days in August 1969 at the tiny township of Bethel, upstate New York, on Max Yasgur's dairy farm. Around half a million people attended, the music was fantastic, and a spirit of hippy love and peace prevailed. There's never been another festival like it. If you were there, then I hope this show will bring back happy memories. If you weren't then I hope you'll enjoy it just as much as if you had been by listening to this hour of music. The show contains studio tracks as well as live recordings from Woodstock. Enjoy!

A show for Halloween, with all music written and performed by Kate Bush. The show includes songs that have a connection to the supernatural or mild horror, also two of Kate's demo songs, neither of which has been officially released.  Plus some film soundtrack clips. Acknowledgements for clips as follows: 'Night of the Demon' (1957), 'Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights' (1992).  Suitable for all audiences.

A small selection of the music I enjoyed dancing to in the 1970s. No chat between tracks!

After I made my selection, I discovered that six of the tracks - coincidentally all featuring in the first seven I play here - feature in the 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2022 (which includes songs that came along after the 1970s ended). Candi Staton's number 2 UK hit Young Hearts Run Free was only pipped to the top of the chart in 1976 by another song featured here, You To Me Are Everything by The Real Thing. And the Top 200 also incudes a track by KC and The Sunshine Band, though not the one I chose for this show. KC also covered Boogie Nights by Heatwave, the original version featuring in this show.
