29.08.2025 - So a couple of days after my birthday, I supported Roni Size at The Jazz Cafe with a 2 1/2-hour opening set.

It was such an honour opening for Roni, something that I didn't think would happen so soon! But it did, and the room was, of course, filled with old-school junglists, so playing tunes to them and warming them up was such a treat. I really felt like I was part of the crowd, rather than being the person crafting a live mix for them...there was such a crazy energy in that room; it was lively from start to finish and I loved it so much that I'm gonna say it was one of my top 5 moments behind the decks so far. 2 hours was also such a perfect amount of time to go on a journey through my collection, dig deep and draw for tunes that I haven't played since I first started mixing. It was so much fun, my girls and my mans were in the booth w/me just being the absolute best, I think that's what made this one extra special :) it's not often that my girls can come through to sets bcs we're all creative adults with mismatched schedules, but when we come together, it's always pure jokes, love, admiration and vibes!

Unfortunately, this set wasn't actually recorded at Jazz Cafe, so there's no crowd noise (my fave thing for proper transcendence 💔), but the old-school junglists found me tenfold, and so I had to deliver this set, finally 🤭 no frills, some skills to pay the bills and that lol.
