Kirk continues to explore the crossover between New Wave and Americana while adding an unmistakable 90s dance vibe with JULIAN (New Moon Remix).  Producer Lars Goransson did the heavy lifting weaving existing tracks recorded for the IN WAVES album version of Julian with a steady dance beat and some classic vintage synth textures ala Robyn.  The brief was simple: dancing is good for you!

Kirk Smith is a singer, songwriter, and playwright from Austin, Texas. He is best known for writing and performing, Despair’s Book of Dreams and the Sometimes Radio. His first album, Suddenly Bright Out was released in 2005 and since then he’s occupied himself playing sandlot baseball, teaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu, remodeling houses, and raising a family. Ithaca is his second full-length album.
