Wild Medicine 2

Wild Medicine is a podcast series that raises the listeners' attention to the natural world around them.  Each episode is designed to be a sonically soothing, music-driven ride through a different town or city around the UK.  We lull the audience into a sense of peacefulness while heightening sensitivity to their surroundings and expanding awareness of the flora, fauna, rivers and wild places that are often ignored or overlooked in urban areas.  Wild Medicine is a podcast that has a unique style.  Ambient, electronic and organic musical textures, site specific field recordings and a rich variety of spoken word to illustrate our environmental theme, from stories and drama, to interviews and poetry.  We mix them all up into a heady, lyrical brew of 'slow radio' that acts as an antidote to the attention deficit culture our mainstream has become.  We aim to reach a broader audience than traditional nature programmes with non linear content that is informative, entertaining and constantly evolving.  It's an 'easy' listen with a serious message about the importance of our connection with nature to our mental wellbeing.  Wild Medicine unravels the beauty, power and magic of the natural world.
