That warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you are inside watching the mega-rain hitting a ground surface that is far too hot to exist, but knowing you can retreat into an enclosure of air-conditioned blissful escapism... and maybe running out for a beer.

A couple of new songs. First one was written in September there, the other one in October. All parts written, recorded, performed and mixed by Josh Healy.

Both tracks home recorded to 4 track cassette tape using a tascam portastudio 7, with some digital overdubs added later to both tracks.

What's wrong with us?
When have dictators ever kept us safe or made the world a safer place?
Why do we embrace self-pity and hatred so easily? How is it possible that we believe that billionaires will look after us when all they do is exploit us?
How come we are happily giving away rights and freedoms we were so proud of?
But hey, seems like I'm not lost for words. That's something, I guess.

Echoes of power from long-silent rooms.

In the classical margam of bharatanatyam, the varnam is the recital’s centerpiece, its longest and most emotionally charged performance. In “Tome of Stars“, the varnam appears as the twenty-nine-poem section “Senescence”. Following the exaltation of Anthesis, the beloved as a celestial goddess, love now descends from the stars into the gravity of human frailty. 

This sonnet offers a poetic adaptation of the direct words of the poet’s beloved from a message written in 2005, juxtaposing an early moment of profound intimacy and faith with the eventual collapse of that trust into mutual estrangement. The first three quatrains are a versification of an email she sent early in their relationship, capturing her confident belief in the strength of their bond and her deep trust in the sincerity of his love and character. The final couplet introduce a stark narrative and tonal reversal, shifting from affirmation and devotion to disillusionment and emotional fracture. The poem’s emotional core lies not in accusation or anger, but in a sense of stunned bewilderment, a reckoning with an incomprehensible transformation, a fall from grace to alienation, vilification, and emotional inversion.

Genre-blending folk band The Rabbitts have been described as "ethereal and understated" on BBC Radio 6 Music. Their unique and colourful sound is characterised by delicate harmonies and an intricately interwoven tapestry of mandolin, guitar, bass, and drums. The Norwich-based band started 2024 with a full-band tour of the UK and have new music on the horizon. This will follow on from their 2023 album 'Love' which was described as "intricate, lush and completely captivating" by Podcart. They are an ever evolving group who are constantly creating and rarely staying still.
