Rote - End Of The Sky

The 5th release of Dalmata Daniel is the first Budapest-based banger EP, which presents three original tracks from Norwell and one remix by Imre Kiss. Norwell was engrossed in kosmiche musik and house, while he found his own sound and made some albums on Reckno, Seagrave or Cleaning Tapes. After all he hasn’t stopped yet, rather, he has started to discover the dark side of club music and converted his own sound into electro. The result of this new beginning was the 12-inch "Death of a Star" on Pinkman in 2016. 
Now "ODD EP" is the next level: much deeper into the darkness. 
"Arabian Nights", as the title suggests, is an electro-orientalist-exoticism, like an ancient dangerous night in the desert. However, from the second track, we are in the future: in cold dark space. "Outer Delta Dynamics" is the launch rocket, followed by "Celestial Bodies“, which is a cruel and desperate fight in time and space. 
Imre Kiss has started with dreamy lo-fi sounds on Farbwechsel, then he improved his music in house and techno on the next two EPs on Lobster Theremin. 
But the banger remix "Crisis '91" is a pretty new thing in his music. This cool jungle rework perfectly matches the whole atmosphere of "DD005", even if the style is somehow different. 
The last curiosity of this EP is that all of the tracks were born in Szemlőhegy, which was actually a coincidence (or maybe fate?). Anyway, this place above the city might have had a common influence on the tracks: they have exactly the same vibe.

Patron continues to build a fine reputation with its family of ambitious artists. The label’s superb seventh release comes from Lewski, who already impressed with a EP here back in 2017.
Lewski is red hot right now after releasing on Or:la’s recently founded Céad label, impressing on Boiler Room and playing gigs at top clubs like De School and festivals like Awakenings. The diverse likes of Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Helena Hauff and DJ Stingray have all played his house, techno and electro tunes so his credentials are
unquestionable.
The title track opens the EP and is a perfectly dreamy electro cut with a bouncy acid line and spaced-out atmospheres.

Unknown collective Lost Trax return for a third EP on Delsin following two previous outings since 2017. Also releasing on the likes of Tabernacle and Frustrated Funk, they deal in emotional music that comes direct from the heart and heads straight for the dance floor.

'De Laye' is a quick and slick, deep and dubby techno cut with plenty of room for the twisted bassline and busy, bristling drums. 'Surface Treated' trips you out with sci-fi sounds and electro influences that recall classic Detroit as they surge into the future and 'Interstate' then gets perfectly dreamy and far sighted, with thoughtful chords and keys drifting up top about tight, punchy drums. This most serene and sublime EP ends on 'Still', a crisp electro cut with icy keys and plenty of machine made drum funk. It makes for a most stylish and timeless collection overall.

It of course see’s Jane’s ever evolving record bag and exceptional set programming sensibilities in full swing. Her ability to climb inside the head of a dancer and know what you need, but continually challenge and surprise you with what you might be capable of going mad for, is just part of what makes her so respected and in-demand. Admired by so many other artists and DJs across the musical spectrum and around the world, we wanted to unlock what it is like playing with such a lethal DJ. For this we briefly spoke with Carl H (Animals On Psychedelics), who has played b2b with Jane on numerous occasions, more recently at the otherworldly Brave Factory Festival closing.

The clouds pile up in the Dresden autumn sky, but Uncanny Valley still sees a little bit of blue on the horizon. And why not looking on the bright side of life for a change? It’s appropriate. At least if you have five killer tracks in your bag. Anyway, the collaboration with the Leipzig graphic designer Doppeldenk proved to be very fruitful and has now produced the fourth of seven children. So, after PINK, RED and ORANGE, here is BLUE. May life be good to you.

The record opens with the aptly titled, Chicago-inspired MIND TRIP by Credit 00, the Aldous Huxley from your neighborhood. The Leipziger takes you on a journey on your own nerve pathway with occasional stops at the hottest spots in your body. Local buddy Gnista is piling up layer by layer for the UK meets Electro affair that is PLAYTIME WORKTIME. It’s an atmospheric monster that needs to be climbed first. But as soon as this is done, a fresh breeze blows around your nose. In BRECHT HAT ER, the mysterious Dresden underground formation AGB spreads wisdom in staccato mode, accompanied by Cold Wave-like music, which could also have been created in the shadows of the Berlin Wall.

After a long time of hiatus, there is also a sign of life again from Uncanny Valley’s Break SL, who proves with BYE BYE 627 that he still masters the art of producing House music that is as edgy as it is catchy. In similar veines comes IN TRANSIT from Qnete who channels the ghosts in his machines into an emotional and powerful House track.
