Bradfield Senior College music students composed many of these songs and performed on all of these songs. The inspiration was their view of the impact current global trends will have on their future existence and the dramatic change COVID-19 has had on their world. Amazing feat for students to do this through COVID restrictions. Thanks to Pauly B for the production and recording and his great generosity working with our students. ENLIGHTENMENT
Alessia Christofaris, Indigo Loau 

The VIVID project team Enlightenment is a part of the VIVID music group. Enlightenment has worked towards collaborating with other artists to write and compose original songs surrounding themes of optimism, curiosity and energy, creating a playground of the unexpected. The group has achieved this through the overall nostalgic and melancholy undertone of their acoustic pieces as well as the theme aligning and thought-provoking lyrics. 

CHRIS DOHERTY
Chris Doherty composes songs that combine high energy and optimism reflecting the unexpected world that has influenced his teenage years. His works are designed to provoke curiosity and excitement. In the creative process Chris has experimented with multi layers arrangements for solo artists. 

SERENDIPITY
Gemma Golding, Alessia Christofaris, Rider Pate 
Serendipity has written songs that encourage the audience to engage their thoughts and emotions about the unexpected events going on in the world. They have been working independently and collaboratively with a range of different artists which allows them to experiment with different genres and concepts. 

VOLATILITY
Michele Postavikov, Deme Milne 
Volatility have been producing a variety of songs involving different themes ranging from childhood nostalgia and unforeseen friendships while experimenting with different musical concepts. This provokes curiosity within Bradfield's interpretation of this year's VIVID project theme, playground of the unexpected. 

MYSTICAL
Alex Cable 
The artist Alex Cable is producing musical compositions with the use of new cutting-edge technology called the Roland verselab mv-1 (producing board). He is experimenting with multi genre sounds and beats which are designed to provoke curiosity with the audience. He is aiming to create a playground of the unexpected in the language of music. 

As we emerge from a distorted wonderland of expansion and contraction, it’s time to tread softly and dream big. Curiosity, energy and optimism are the drivers for community storytelling in film, photography, art, design, dance, music and drama – as seen through the eyes of young creatives at Bradfield College. 

Find out how play allows for happy accidents and unanticipated delights. You’re invited to stop and play, then glimpse how our emerging creative talents approach our city and this ‘new normal’ by embracing the unexpected. 

Playground of the Unexpected is the culmination of a creative approach to senior secondary education. For 16 weeks Bradfield year 11 students have worked in teams to stage the exhibition. It’s about providing a workplace experience in the creative industries so that student can build a skills passport made up of practical, technical, and transferrable skills to prepare them for future work and study options.
