Verbatim theatre is a form of documentary theatre in which the play’s script is edited together from the exact words spoken by people interviewed about a particular event or topic. This piece is all about the history of experiences at Luna Park and tells the stories of a range of characters. Our play explores different perspectives across a variety of ages, including Milsons Point Retirement Village residents. We gathered a range of unique stories and memories and recorded these in the sound studio. The end result was a verbatim radio play spanning nine decades of the meaningful ways Luna Park has impacted the lives of Sydneysiders.
