Sunrise Set - Burning Man 2025

It was a rough monday following the dust storm and the rains, but the Fauxliage crew was operational and despite being behind schedule they had everyone play and did their opening party! Even when the deck died on Black Panda during his set, they had another to replace it and the vibes lived on into the wee hours of the morning.  A frond in need is a frond in deed at Fauxliage.  I hope you enjoy these deep late night beats as much as I did playing them.  Thank you Fauxliage!

With five massive art cars linked up to contain and amplify the sound, in the arms of the Arise art piece, and flame throwers lighting up the desert sky, this set became more than music—it was a living ritual of rhythm and release. Every beat carved deeper into the night, a dirty, driving bassline fueling an ecstatic party that felt like pure freedom.

 It was sweaty, playful, primal, and ecstatic—a tech house journey designed for bodies in motion and hearts wide open under the flames of the Man.

The Duchess Burning Man 2025 Saturday at Arise

What a BURN!   By Friday the sun was shining in a blue sky for the third consecutive day and the crazy Hurricane Larry during build  seemed like last year.   This was my final set of the week but earliest in the program where I got to open Friday's DJ proceedings at DeMentha to an already busy party.  Great times - hope you enjoy! :)

Burning Man 2025 // Friday at DeMentha

Bettina Rothe (DIVA-B) is a facilitator of conscious movement practices and community building whose passion is to ignite one's connection with self, to others and to the continuum of all life. Her work is grounded in holistic, somatic based modalities with a strong focus on the 5Rhythms®, Gabrielle Roth's powerful movement form, mindfulness practices and leadership embodiment principles. Bettina is a licensed 5Rhythms® teacher based in Vancouver, BC who offers weekly group classes, individual sessions, workshops and retreats in North America, Central America and Europe. 

DIVA-B is a sonic priestess channeling deep, soulful, and high-energy House & Techno beats. She blends hypnotic rhythms, sultry vocals, and infectious grooves as gateways into ecstasy. 

Her soundscapes are unapologetic, sensual, and fierce. She grew up in the Berlin House scene and is known for her creative blend of Organic House, Tech House, Nu House, and Melodic Techno. She has performed at Burning Man, Beloved, Bitf and many other festivals on the West Coast.

Her latest fascination is DIVA House in honour and celebration of the Feminine Rising. DIVA House honours female artists, spotlights uplifting and empowering lyrics, and co-creates high vibes with dancers from all walks of life.
