Our brains are hardwired for ecstasy. Many of our ancestors have accessed ecstatic states as a way of asking for inspiration, guidance or healing. They can increase our awareness and offer us experiences that extend beyond the physical senses and the cognitive mind. The gates to our inner knowing and intuitive mind can open. Deep healing can occur in altered states of consciousness.

In our culture today many of us are experiencing a lack of ecstasy that we might try to fill with other means. The dancing path is an on-going journey from inertia to ecstatic trance. To be in a state of ecstatic means to be fully alive.

Trance 5Rhythms®  Wave

This Dj set was the second one of an epic night at the Beyond Dance 1st Anniversary this past October 31st in San José, Costa Rica. 

Beyond Dance is a community that has known how to be resilient throughout these times of planetary crisis. Our greatest strength is the joy and wholesome enjoyment of our community dances. 💃🕺

We are a Tribe awakening, awakening to the richness of our emotional world in full expression, we are freedom of movement and thought, we are beings capable of celebrating ourselves and celebrating others as they are. 🥳

We are recovering the essence and power of Dance as a path of liberation and healing. Our Gatherings are an infinite source of energy, love and strength! ❤️💪🏾☀️

Strength to keep walking forward with confidence and conviction that the best is always yet to come, that when we come together and unite our highest intentions we become powerful beyond our individual limitations. We nurture each other in acceptance and SINCERE LOVE. 🌀🔝🌀

Dancing within the elemental map of the 5Rhythms® you will cultivate an embodied knowing and relationship with each element. Dance with the earth, with the winds and waters, with the ember and flame of fire and the etheric parts of yourself that shine from your deepest Self.

My intention for this soundscape is to offer a healing journey in movement to undergo a process of remolding, realigning and change. Metamorphosis is a journey of transformation. It calls for us to grow into a new state of being, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is an invitation to let in what is present, to let go of what no longer serves and to open to higher states of consciousness. The 5Rhythms® have been developed by Gabrielle Roth over a lifetime of study in dance, theatre and the healing arts. This practice creates the opportunity to find freedom of movement, states of heightened awareness, profound healing and the inspiration for living a creative and fulfilling life.

Some days I wake up and feel BLUE and uninspired, ungrounded and tired. In those moments I offer myself a good dose of BEAT MEDICINE. When I offer my whole body into the rhythm, body part by body part, I invite more vitality into my being, release the BLUES and can access bliss in motion. Give it a try! Let your HEART speak 5Rhythms® Wave

Bettina Rothe (DIVA-B) is a facilitator of conscious movement practices and community building whose passion is to ignite one's connection with self, to others and to the continuum of all life. Her work is grounded in holistic, somatic based modalities with a strong focus on the 5Rhythms®, Gabrielle Roth's powerful movement form, mindfulness practices and leadership embodiment principles. Bettina is a licensed 5Rhythms® teacher based in Vancouver, BC who offers weekly group classes, individual sessions, workshops and retreats in North America, Central America and Europe. 

As DJ DIVA-B she is passionate about creating soundscapes as a gateway into ecstasy, heart-centered connection and experience of divine bliss. She grew up in the Berlin House scene and is known for her creative blend of Organic House, Tech House, Nu House, and devotional tunes from around the globe. She has performed at Burning Man, Beloved, Bitf and many other festivals on the West Coast. 

Her latest fascination is DIVA House in honour and celebration of the Feminine Rising. DIVA House honours female artists, spotlights uplifting and empowering lyrics, and co-creates high vibes with dancers from all walks of life.
