My submission for the December 2022 Sim Selection monthly challenge of Benn Jordan's discord community.

Theme: A Crack In Time
Keywords: guarded, helpless
Optional Challenge: Time is of the essence. Time is an illusion. Time is money. Time flies.

My compositional idea was to represent multiple time references, all moving forward at their own rate. Inspiration from a Stravinsky score, as well as other modern composers.

Back in the seventies a small but perfectly formed group of friends formed the first band in the country to be called The Editors. Prolific and creative songwriters, they rode Coventry's edgy new wave scene which in those days was thriving in the backwash of the city's TwoTone Ska beats. Every backstreet dive was putting on gigs and The Editors lit up many a dingy night gigging along the City's other favourite sons such as The Mix, The End and The Wild Boys to name but a few.
Fast forward and the friends are now back together for round two as The Auditors. Whilst reforming to recreate some of those old favourites from the seventies, they've discovered that 
the old chemistry is still there.
Through the intervening six decades the Auditors' musical careers have been many and varied, interspersed with real jobs for the purposes of eating, but all that experience has slotted back together where their own fun and enjoyment is, as it was back in the seventies, still more important than any commercial gain. Their Music sees no attempt at a single style, genre or format but represents the many influences of music discovered and loved over the years.
