RC107 finally welcomes man of the moment Elliot Creed to the label with his 2-track Cloud of Fire EP, featuring a kickass remix by the homie Alegra. With the hopes of a return to a late night dance floor, the title track Cloud of Fire delivers one hell of a punch. Capturing all the built up emotion and frustration of the industry, the expression throughout his record is truly felt. A larger than life sound bringing all that built up energy to the forefront, this is a sure thing to get those floors packed again.

PREMIERE: Elliott Creed - Cloud of Fire | Recovery Collective

Released in July 2021, Juan Deminicis produced another slice of progressive heaven with his twin-track "Water". With a remix EP on Proton Music in the pipeline, Particles also creates its very own remix edition with reworkings from Polish and Argentinean artists.

Rafal Ligienza has been at the forefront of the progressive house scene for over a decade with his Rafa'EL moniker. Including occasional forays into deep house and melodic techno, the Polish artist has drawn praise through his monthly "Infusion" show on Proton Radio, while music signed to such esteemed imprints as Mango Alley, Univack and GMJ & Matter's Meanwhile Horizons, has seen Rafa'EL hit the heights with an assortment of production work. Centred around two original EPs, June 2018's "Twin Flames" and November 2019's "Floating Moments", showcased Rafa'El's unique and impressive sound for Particles, while remixes for Rauschhaus and Mariner + Domingo are now joined by a third.

Reworking the title track, the Rafa'EL remix of "Water" takes the striking percussive groove of the original and uses it as a foundation from which a flowing melodic piece forms pulsating waves of sound over its 7-minute timeframe. Subtle use of the Mila Belini's vocals drift in ethereal patterns across the mid-range as new synth lines from the Rafa'EL production studio work their magic across the breakdown and into the third movement. The result is a shimmering new version full of sonic colour.

A new artistic pairing from the foothills of the Sierra Chicas, Córdoba duo, Alto Astral have quickly established a reputation within the progressive house genre with their live performances and DJ sets. Making their debut on April 2021's Fabri Lopez compiled "Prod Community II" for Balkan Connection, June's "Time Shifter" EP showcased a pair of dynamic original tracks in collaboration with Andrés Moris.

Now making their Particles debut, the Alto Astral remix of "Rebellion" drives powerfully forwards with a strong rhythmic foundation and rolling percussive groove. Subtle vocal flourishes from the original make their presence felt in freeform patterns while new synth lines weave a new aural tapestry across the 8-minute remix. Adding white-noise effects, snare roll and chugging bass groove to the mix, the second half explodes into a wall of sound complete with new melodic sequencing.

Continuing to flow with a vibrant vitality, Juan Deminicis finds "Water" continuing to quench his thirst with remixes from Rafa'EL and Alto Astral.

Mercurio is the 19th release of Droid9 South America and the first release of the year 2022, premiering this new version format, remixes of tracks that were already released last year.

Side A of Mercurio contains 3 remixes.
Aman Anand is in charge of remixing one of our great and best known releases "Into the Light" from Andrés Moris. Released in December 2020 in our compilation "Eros"
Into the Light was supported by big artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. On this occasion the Singaporean producer Aman Anand offers us a very interesting Progressive House version, respecting some main elements of the original and adding a vibe of happiness and peace. Ideal for keeping the dance floor on.

Astal by Samugo that was released on "Poseidon" in February 2021 is remixed by Bruno Andrada, a great Argentine producer who debuts on Droid9 South America and is characterized by his productions rich in melodies, harmonies and a particular and indisputable groove. He brought us an incredibly hypnotic remix, transforming the original emotional and introspective mix into an euphoric version.

To close this side A of "Mercurio" our Label Manager and Owner is releasing music here after his release "The Key" in collaboration with TEIAO and TOMMY D. remixing "Sensations" by Agustin Pietrocola, a track that had a great performance on the 2021 also in our compilation "Poseidon". Bootes Gray transforms Sensations into a new interpretation, the only Melodic Techno track on this EP, which on the breakdown brings arpeggiators that characterize it in his productions with a Progressive House tinge. The voices of the original play a very important role in this remix, adding tension before the drop.
