Introduction in English:
Sometimes there are situations in life to which there are no solutions at all. You may have already done and tried everything. Nothing has helped. 
The "doer" and "controller" in me goes to its knees in such moments. And out comes the part that surrenders completely to hope. Then in a kind of prayer to his inner God and in his inner church at least asks for an alleviation of suffering for all those where all rational or scientific techniques and methods have reached their limits.
This song is about such a kind of "hope prayer"

Introduction in German:
Manchmal gibt es Situationen im Leben, zu denen es keinerlei Problemlösungen gibt. Man hat vielleicht alles schon unternommen und versucht. Nichts hat geholfen. 
Der "Macher" und "Kontrolleur" in mir geht in solchen Momenten in die Knie. Und hervorkommt der Teil, der sich ganz der Hoffnung hingibt. Dann in einer Art Gebet an seinen inneren Gott und in seiner inneren Kirche zumindest um eine Linderung des Leids für all jene bittet, bei denen alle rationalen oder wissenschaftlichen Techniken und Methoden an ihre Grenzen gestoßen. 
Von so einer Art "Hoffnungsgebet" handelt dieses Lied

"The MillsTone of Goltz" was a three-piece band consisting of Mario Palaschke on keyboards, Christoph Musil on bass and Gunther Benedict on drums. It evolved out of a bigger group (called "Hin und Wider"), that also included Othmar Eichinger on tenor sax plus Axl Hansal on guitar and lasted from about 1990 to 1994. Back then the bass player and the drummer, together with their families, were living in an old water mill, which also harboured the practice room and the musical facilities - hence the reference to a millstone! Most of the tunes came up in late night jams, based on particular topics one or the other member of the band suggested.  It was a thoroughly democratic ensemble – just the way it should be when everybody is ready to present his emotional innards to the outer world. Nothing is perfect here, but everything is heartfelt (some of the tracks are based on poems by Christian Morgenstern). Maybe there’s a chance to start it all over again…
For an optimum experience of our tracks the use of headphones is suggested.
