children on tricycles 
listening to the music of a stranger being played from afar

Street lamps softly light my way
They stumble past
clutching their hands
Singing and laughing
they think its enchanting 
the way the mist settles in the dark

The sky stretches wide and open
My eyes drift upards and rest upon the stilllness
in the expanse of clouds
I hear the sound
Of soft voiced lovers in the park

Steam drifts into the blue from the canal
Cold hands clutching fresh black coffee
In the morning frost
Our paths cross
And im lost in the eyes of a stranger 
In victoria park

They trill before the battle 
An army of soldiers built this for me
The phone lines they rattle
I let my white noise seep in the sound of the sea

My otherness happens far below
Bad seeds grow inside of me
My love darling yeah it runs slow
Doubt grows inside me like a weed

I trickle through muffled thunder
