Cole Jackson is a committed independent Rock N Roll performing/recording artist from Humboldt CA. Cole has been singing and performing since he was a child and started writing and learning various instruments in his early teens but officially began his music career at 18 when he produced his first song “don’t let me go” and later tapped into his hearts vision at 20 with the demo “Ghost.” He has an experimental yet tuned and gritty way of mixing aspects from of other genres like EDM, Pop, and Hip Hop to create a raw and captivating Alternative Rock sound, while expressing a deep and powerful message of self reflection, acceptance and authenticity.

Cole Jackson believes that by accepting and being present with a negative experience, you can alchemise and transform it into a positive lesson. He believes there is nothing more painful in life than to resist life itself, and we do not have to be afraid of what might happen to us in the future.

When Cole was a child, he went through severe psychological abuse by family members… and deeply struggled with the systems he was brought up in like school and church. This led Cole to struggle with low confidence, stress, anxiety, impulsive lying and a deep rage. As Cole carried these struggles and negative feelings through life, he began to feel more and more disconnected from himself, with others and with the world around him. Darkness began to consume him. He was alone. He was an outcast. He was in pain. He felt powerless.

During Cole’s late teens, that’s when he gave into his darkness and sought refuge in a drug addiction. 

While attending his first semester in college, Cole found himself struggling to keep up, lacking motivation and purpose in his life. Though Cole was falling into addiction alone and full of shame, guilt, and limiting self detrimental beliefs, there was still a spark in him that would later light a raging fire of passion, love, and confidence and a commitment to his truth through vulnerability. This spark was his desire to create music. After Cole created his first song and dropped out of college, his entire perspective about life changed, opening his mind to ideas and possibilities he never dreamed of. 

Though it wasn’t overnight, through the spark he found in music and a connection he found in himself, he felt less alone. Cole was able to quit his addiction, transcend his limiting beliefs, and create a way of thinking that has empowered him and helped manage and heal much of his trauma, thanks to the love he found for music, art, community and himself. Cole now performs and creates rock music and other forms of art including film, drawing, sculpting, crafting and magic to express his dark past and inspire others dealing with mental illness and overwhelming darkness to accept their negative experiences and transform them to positive lessons. He also likes Sports Cars, Motorcycles, Animals and trippy things.
