This is a rough recording of my new song, which is prompted by the many extreme and troubling weather events we have all been experiencing on our planet, and the toll it takes on all living things.  I do believe that the suffering of the earth is deeply related to our own personal suffering and vice versa.  Healing is possible.  It begins within each of us.

Time-lapse Aperture

Vocal and simple piano improv on some of my writing, which eventually became a song.  Recorded spontaneously (with background noise). The lyrics came about when I was in my practice studio singing, feeling deeply into my emotions and physical sensations, and pausing to write whatever was coming up. When it sounds like I’m pleading or addressing someone else, I am instead calling on myself to compassionately (as possible) be with all of the parts of myself, and especially the ones I’ve deemed to be undesirable and have sent into exile.  I’m inviting all of myself  home.
