Good recitation, but in the 5th verse, I hear it as "Prapadye lakshmirme",  should'nt it be "Prapadya Alakshmirme". Can you please clarify this point.

so does that mean that " laxmi is driven out'.

Considered one of the most important of the Sahasranāma-s (1000 names), the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma is from the 149th adhyāya of the Anuśāna-parva of the Mahābhārata.

It is one of the most popular forms of prayer. It is a praise of the Lord with thousand words. Swami Dayananda Saraswati says “The Viṣṇu Sahasranāma does not propound a theology, it merely talks about what is already said in the Śruti, Smṛti and Purāṇa-s“.

“Each of these words is a name of Īśvara and when understood becomes a window through which you look at Īśvara and understand Īśvara with awe and wonderment.”

Viṣṇu Sahasranāma

An incarnation of Lord Śiva, Dakṣiṇāmūrti is considered the divine and ultimate Guru. Śiva as Dakṣiṇāmurti is presented as the source of all knowledge. The vigraha (form) is visualised and presented as the source of all knowledge. Īśvara appears in the form of a teacher. This is the special feature of this stotram.

In this adoration, the devā-s offer salutations again and again, to the Devī who is in all beings as consciousness, intelligence, sleep, hunger, contemplation, power, forgiveness, modesty, peace, commitment, good fortune, compassion, contentment, error etc. At the end of this hymn, we realise Devī is literally our life.

The chanting of the Devī Mahātyam requires preparation and rigorous training not only on chanting quality but also on the protocols to be followed before, during & after chanting. These three chants referred to as the Tryaṅgam are required to be recited before Devi Mahātmyam pārāyaṇa.

01 Devī Kavacam

In the 5th chapter of the Devī Mahātmyam, the inspiring hymn yā devī saravabhūteṣu is presented. In this adoration, the devā-s offer salutations again and again, to the Devī who is in all beings as consciousness, intelligence, sleep, hunger, contemplation, power, forgiveness, modesty, peace, commitment, good fortune, compassion, contentment, error etc. 

Recited following Sanskrit chandas (Anuṣṭup meter), in a simple non-musical way.

Yā Devī Sarva Bhūteṣu

The Nārāyaṇa Sūktam is a poetic, heartfelt, emotional and devout personal address to the all-encompassing divine. This hymn describes the superb greatness of the Divine and how to meditate on this reality in our own hearts.

Nārāyaṇa Sūktam

These are mantras from the Ṛg Veda, the oldest spiritual literature from India. Recited at the beginning of each class, we invoke the cosmic powers or confidence and wisdom to give our study focus and purpose.

This hymn of 5 mantras appears in the Mahānārāyaṇa Upaniṣat of the Yajur Veda, of which 4 mantras are also in the Ṛg Veda and addressed to Agni.

The Warrior Goddess Durga is seen as having the lustre of Agni, the leader of our journey to perfection. We pray that Agni leads us to happiness overcoming all states of grief. We take refuge in Her, the Warrior Goddess Durga, who is skilled in saving and takes us across difficulties with grace.

Also known as the Śrī Rudram, this hymn is like an upaniṣad revealing the truth of the jīva, the individual, jagat, the world, and Iśvara. The words in the hymn with their simple meaning become a means for gaining eligibility for knowledge. This hymn is considered very efficacious in neutralising the result of wrong actions. The Śrī Sūktam is one of the more popular Vedic hymns, used extensively in ritual worship in temples and homes as well as a sādhana, or daily meditative practice of recitation for tuning into the energy of Lakṣmī, who stands for all that is beautiful, gracious and enriching in man and his surroundings.

Śri Suktam is now included in the Ṛg Veda, but is considered a pariśiṣṭa sūkta or a khila sūkta (an appendix) to the 5th Manḍala. Therefore, you will find in this hymn various possibilities for svara (idamittham) My recitation follows the teachings of my Guru from Trayee Veda Vidyalaya in Bangalore.
