A one-take improvisation live at our studio with Phil on  slide bouzouki (!) and Andy on electric guitar. Rainmaker and synth wind noises added afterwards.

Andy on vocal and baritone ukulele for a visit to the beginning of the twentieth century and a tale of an impossible love.  When we play this live Phil adds a high whistle, but we haven't got round to recording it yet!

The Killing Game

If you've ever wondered what the secret of People's Cap is, Gallons of Tea might just be the answer!  An instrumental with Phil on bouzouki and Andy on mandolin. Another one from this week's rehearsal.

Here's one from our rehearsal yesterday. It's song by Phil about the First World War and his Great Grandad who fought in it. And maybe a bit more besides!

Marching On

People's Cap is an acoustic duo formed in 2015 by Phil Lane and Andy Williamson. Phil and Andy both have long musical histories, and are multi-instrumentalists. It's very unusual for us to play the same instruments for two songs in a row! Guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, diatonic and chromatic harmonicas and accordions, saz, ukuleles, piano, whistles, melodicas, Indian harmonium and percussion have all made appearances. People's Cap is based in Tervuren, near Brussels in Belgium.
