The track is based on a real=life experience. Due to a snowstorm, roads in central London were unusable. Except that cylists could now roam free.

Field recordings were made between March and early May. No Drones were harmed in the making of this piece, at least not by myself.

Another "Concert for Drones", could use small drones (=aerial vehicles), equipped with loudspeakers, are the instruments; each playing a different drone (=continuous sound), and moving over the audience. This means, every audience member hears a different combination of sounds emanating from different locations at the same time, and a different sound progression over time. What would Stockhausen do if he were alive today?

The piece turned out minimalish - it was somewhat inspired by composition algorithms, such as used for some of the music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Terry Riley, and it is in C.

This piece was inspired by the "Fridays for Future" demonstrations taking place around the world, and uses field recordings from these events. For us, this somehow represents a moment where, as others have put it before, "despair ends."

We Rise Like The Water

This piece only consists of recordings I made while adjusting the tension of the spokes of a bike wheel with a spoke key. Expert bike mechanics are able to check the tension by ear! As you may guess, the spokes were very loose, the adjustments were useless, and the rim could not be trued anymore, but still good for using them in granular synthesis!

This piece was put together from different sounds recorded by the community, with many thanks to everybody who contributed! We selected motifs of wind chimes and woodwind to build the piece on, and tried to modify the recordings as little as possible, though in some cases chopping and paulstretch were used.

A collaboration with rabbitsquirrel on synth and second harmonic generation on field recording, mixing and Behringer Neutron for beats.

Sounds were generated from recordings of a breaking washing machine converted onto midi and replayed on a synthesizer.
