Jessica Norwood is a Southerner, a Black woman, and the proud Founder of the Runway Project, which is working to solve the 'friends & family' seed funding gap for African American entrepreneurs and to expand opportunities for Black folks to build wealth in our communities.

Nia Evans is director of the Boston Ujima Project. Nia is a first generation American, whose parents are originally from Bermuda and Saint Kitts. The Boston Ujima Project is organizing neighbors, workers, business owners, and investors to create a community-controlled economy in Greater Boston. Ujima engages in arts and cultural organizing and provides support and funding for social enterprises and cooperatives owned by people of color.
