Episode 148 is a slightly slow week, very much the calm before the storm! Kyle is deep into his 100K training and celebrates by spraying a beer, while is a return of the injury demons for Tom.

It's Bastille Day as we release, and fittingly we talk about the electric Monaco Diamond League next to the South of France, the British Ultra Trail Champs and the Scottish Masters Track Champs! Maybe not that slow after all...

Good things come to those who wait.....after a short break Episode 157 is wrapped but more importantly, the Tartan Running Shorts are a go!

This week we catch up on how we're progressing with Kyle still weighing up the 24 hour race whilst Tommy is well underway in the Valencia Marathon block. There have been a bunch of big races over the last few weeks with Scottish club vests hitting start lines and we catch up on those results!

We want to dedicate this episode to our friend Marie Dobson who sadly passed away far too early from secondary breast cancer at the age of 34. Marie was a talented athlete with Aberdeen AAC and recently set up her charity Run4Marie, aimed at raising funds for her treatment to prolong her life. She will be hugely missed by the running community and has inspired so many people with her bubbly and positive outlook on life. 

To celebrate this episode, we have none other than the European Cross Country Champion and - more importantly - reigning TRS Runner of the Year, Megan Keith on the show! 

Tom returns to the island and recaps on his *spoiler alert* DNF at Valencia Marathon and Kyle talks about his DQ at the Maxi Madeira Ultra. We also chat about the recent race results, including Kyle’s Dava Way 50k and finish off talking about TRS Runner of the Year 2021 nominations – coming soon!
