Fake news, also known as junk news or pseudo-news, is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional news media (print and broadcast) or online social media.

To sensitize the general public on what fake news is, why it is created, and how it is spread, the Department of Information and Media has developed two radio programs in Dzongkha and English languages and have aired these radio programs in private radio stations in Thimphu, including Kuzoo FM, which has reach in all the 20 Dzongkhags.

The department also aired these programs through the Lhop Community radio station in Dorokha, Samtse; Edi Community Radio Station in Dechenpelri, Gelephu; and the KYD Community Radio Station in Khothakpa, Pemagatshel.

A utopia where humans, no matter their ethnic background, wouldn’t be devalued because of their skin color, nor origin, but be accepted & celebrated for their uniqueness — to only be seen by their spirit. Like @lennykravitz said, "𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦." I want to see a world where we do more collaborating and less isolating. I want to see real support for Black women, the same way that Black women always have, and always will give to ALL others. I imagine a world where Black bodies aren’t snatched up by the institution that is whiteness, and the collective energy for change really shifts our culture of fear and depression to abundance and the sharing of resources; where Black, Brown, & Indigenous peoples have institutional support and care. In the meantime, I will continue to strive for Black Joy, and choose the radical act of taking care of myself. Remembering Dr. MLK & Coretta Scott King on this day, and uplifting all of whom feel disheartened by these times. I see you 🖤🚀🕊✈️
