It calls upon the quiet devotion of Srimanta Shankardev (1449 -1568) — reformer, poet, and pioneer of the Bhakti Movement in Assam, who envisioned a path of love, simplicity, and surrender — and the raw primordial power of Ma Kamakhya, the fierce, fertile embodiment of Shakti.

Two seemingly opposing forces in the spiritual universe, held together in reverence.
This piece is meant to be received not just with the ears, but with the whole body — in stillness, in awareness, as an offering.

And yet — both are so deeply, unmistakably Assam.

Bringing them together isn’t a contradiction.
It is more like alchemy.
A kind of healing.
A way of remembering that Assam has always held both —
Nirguna and Saguna, bhakti and blood — and done so, without apology. And with pride.
