elvis Sibeko - 5/4 Chant

Dance Can Dance: The Spirit of Enchantment is a new African Contemporary Dance Theatre album consisting of 10 tracks. 

The title was inspired by the artist career in dancing – how dance came to be a living spirit with its agency channeled only through its enchanting roots of dancing. The content and musicality of this album was driven by the artists inspiration from the band Dead Can Dance after repeatedly choreographing to their music. In 2003, when he first started composing music, he found that this is the kind of music his one day would like to release. 

This experience evoked his inspiration for such music as he now releasing this album. It took him 10 years to create and compile these songs, and some of them were even composed for particular productions for other theatre makers. Now after all this time doing this, it has led to this collection of songs where he compiled them all together in this album. Dance Can Dance is aiming to all dance creators to enable and take creativity to another level. 

The album caters all levels of dance and its variety of genres. If you are a creator of dance, this album will touch your spirit of inspiration.

The song is a reflection of what happened to Zimbini during Covid-19 / lockdown period. She had wonderful plans for this year 2020, but the world started shutting down. Her gigs and tours got cancelled, she almost lost hope. Zimbini felt like she was really working hard but not 
succeeding and that's when she started praying for success and 
blessings. There's also a lot of self-encouragement in the song. The 
aim of releasing this single is to motivate everyone who was affect by 
Covid-19 and she is praying for rain as a metaphor for success, love 
and happiness
