The next instalment in our Silver Lake series is delivered by Yorkshire born South London based, Florence Scott-Anderton (@ecnerolf-1). With a background as a filmmaker and writer her multi-disciplinary artistic approach can be heard through this eclectic and landscape orientated mix.

Coming in at just under 60 minutes we are taken on an ethereal, layered journey diving through dream like tones as varied as Tchaikovsky and Grouper to FSOL and Terre Theamlitz; all entwined with beautiful cinematic moments. The swaying sounds of the sea connect this thought provoking mix; songs that define its beautiful sways and delicate half noises are weaved effortlessly together alongside Florence's own edits of cinematic seascape sounds and contemplative moments of dialogue. The result is a truly filmic experience; atmospheric and immersive in equal measure.

Distorted Sensory Perception is back with a journey of deep space exploration in the form of their 2nd Various Artists release ‘Outer Solar System’. Featuring a diverse selection of deeper Electro and Techno of the broken beat variety. 

The A-side boasts a nostalgic stripped back yet progressive cut ‘Persistence’ from Maltese duo Moodex. Next up, a deep ethereal musical statement ‘Early Morning Hours’ from fellow Maltese producer Sound Synthesis in his unique style. 

The B-side opens with the moody, new school heavy hitter ‘Impulse Control’ from French producer and label co-founder Oshkossh. The penultimate track ‘Brainacid v2’ comes in the form of dusty machine music from Italian newcomer Caramel Chameleon that is reminiscent of AFX ambient works. Last but by no means least the record is brought to an epic conclusion with the frantically emotive and intricate ‘Grny89’ from France's Foreign Sequence.

SNC Recs are no strangers to suprises. With the label's fourth release CHRONIC DURATIONS EP you’ll want to fasten your seatbelts. Nicolas Epe aka The Duty freedom, a Cologne based musician and artist, is ready to step into the spotlight, with the debut of his latest Alter Ego.

On CHRONIC DURATIONS he takes the audience on a dramatic, emotional journey into the world of Intelligent Drum and Bass music. The sound is familiar, yet new and timeless, it’s stuck in the 90s while showcasing the future. Slow melodies carry you through the tracks and are broken by fast kicks and glitchy sounds. The EP can be understood as a hybrid of sound and video art. To further lose yourself in the work, The Duty Freedom has created a series of dreamlike glitch video pieces that can be enjoyed alongside the sounds and help to unterstand the artist's full intentions.
