“This song is inspired by late 90’s US Rock/00’s Pop-Punk and 00’s British Indie Pop. It is about anxiety. Musically it is an attempt to showcase the storm and calm that anxiety can create in daily life. Lyrically it is about wanting to reset emotions and be free from worry and self doubt - to be yourself; a self without anxiety. This is a kind of conceptual art record.”

The Fuschimuschi ABC caused quite a stir when it was first released in 2000. Amazon (!) said: "Funk, dancehall reggae, hip hop, Motown, Stax and P-Funk, Gil Scott-Heron, James Brown, great horn sections, slap basses, samples between '70s fusion, Steely Dan, CCR and early New Orleans swing - this thing has soul!" The music magazine Intro (RIP) celebrated the cool dissidence. Even the legendary Aphex Twin fell in love with Fuschimuschi and released "Super Sexy Lady" on his Rephlex label.

Now Thommy, the main man of Fuschimuschi, has revisited the album, remixed some tracks and polished them up. The result is "Thommy presents The Fuschimuschi ABC".

Play tip: "Play Da Easy Ball", the song that was played in Bayer Leverkusen's stadium in the early 2000s - and may have contributed to this year's championship title. Fitting for the start of the European Championship. So Thommy/Fuschimuschi can do timing too!
