Sursum Corda

François Villon's (1431-1463) "Ballade du Concours de Blois". The poem is a series of paradoxes, starts with the line (in French): "I'm dying of thirst on the edge of the fountain". So near, yet so far away. Hardly a day passes that I do not have occasion to think of that line. So I set it to music as a thank-you to old François.

Je Meurs de Soif

The left and the right trying to make a point; a dance of the hands. Highly neurotic. The fun is rather in the playing then in the listening.
