In a fresh instalment of the Rhythmic Culture podcast, guest curator KLAUW puts their second and last name; april222. in the limelight. "Having met April (april222.) at the DJ workshops, showing us some of their productions and DJ skills, we wanted to book them for a set at the KLAUW beach party in Weelde. We had such a great time dancing to their debut set. Their productions are quite different from the energy they bring to the decks. Usually producing slowed and reverb RnB tunes, April brings a variety of Ballroom beats, fast paced Jersey Club, and bootleg edits to this mix and DJ sets. Having a playful attitude, abrupt BPM changes, and exciting switches between songs, april222. is someone we need to see more in the club!"

I Saw Purple In Da Rising Sun (BBB Remix)

Last year, I ran a shrine with my sis Marly, for 3 days. We called it a space of becoming because process ova product! It's all about the journey for us. The possibilities of unravelling through this journey is what carries true freedom and magic. Marly and I got to 'become' through the creation of our space, we got to lie down in the beauty of the manifestations of our intent. 

Our intention was to hold space for our rest, pleasure and grief. Ameen. 
Over the 3 days in the shrine, I got to make music and read poetry with my sistahs. We did multiple recordings that I got to mix into a soundscape alongside some unreleased songs of mine. The experience was pure and child-like. I give all thanks for the healing beauty of such a creation.
