Using the music. Abusing the music. It's really the same thing when the feeling is right. Nothing wrong with that. And when you have the unrivaled talents of Berliners Kiki (Joakim Willich) and Smash TV (Holger Zilske and Kai Preussner) conveying the sentiment it can accomplish an altogether different set of algorithms, defying expectation. Los Angeles based Cari Golden's  vocal boomerangs back and forth between sentiments, conjuring a hypnotic haze that stands deftly in juxtaposition to the track's sharp angles. Using The Music is equal parts peak time, afters, opener or closer. It just depends on the story you want the night to tell.

Precarious Records is proud to introduce our Malta series, beginning with the 2018 Gringos summer party series anthem LIGHT, produced by CRL, written by Precarious label boss Cari Golden and featuring the Maltese symphony’s first chair trumpet and arranger Kevin Abela.

Beginning in 2010 Cari Golden began working with Maltese dj and producer Carl Bee, who is undeniably the hardest working promoter of all things electronic music in the beautiful island country of Malta. Drafting Golden to write the yearly summer anthems that accompany a series of parties stretching into September, a consistent and successful partnership was born. As the years progressed, the songs started to chart on Maltese radio with 2016’s GO UP shooting to number 1. Although many songs had been written for the series, none had been released, so it was difficult to find the music other than hearing it on the radio or at the Gringos events. Precarious Records has decided to change that by signing these uniquely Maltese offerings, so that they can be enjoyed by all.

CRL, also known as Carl Bee is a dynamic and eclectic DJ and producer who has amassed a wealth of releases on esteemed labels such as Saved, Intec
Digital, Lapsus, Lost Records, CR2, Time Has Changed and many more.
Carl has garnered support from the biggest names in techno; including the
likes of Solomun, Carl Cox, Dubfire, and Marco Corolla.

Carl started his weekly radio show ‘BEE Expedition’ in 2009 and his
iTunes podcast, which features many of Car’s live sets. Carl launched his
own weekly GRINGOS party, taking place every Summer in Malta’s
Leading Open Air Venue, UNO Village. Hosting artists on a weekly basis
like Kolsch, Green Velvet, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, The
Martinez Brothers, Eats Everything, Tiga, Matthias Tanzmann,
Jackmaster Roger Sanchez, and Kings Of Tomorrow.

Cari Golden is the Los Angeles based vocalist, songwriter and Precarious Records label boss. Prolific and varied, her voice and songs have garnered world wide recognition as being one of the signature voices of dance music. With classics such as Captain My Captain with Pan-Pot, You and I with Fur Coat, Profound Pleasure with Coyu, City Life with DJ T and Things We Might Have Said with Reinier Zonneveld, and many others there is little doubt that if you have been on a dance floor anywhere in the world, you have found yourself singing along to one of her hooks.

Precarious records is proud to offer Give It To Me is the first collaboration between England’s Aidan Lavelle and Los Angeles based singer/writer Cari Golden. The collaboration grew out of a chance gig in Lisbon, where the two shared a stage and an affinity for real music making. Both trained musicians, Aidan and Cari quickly realized that collaborating made perfect sense. Give It To Me is Cari’s interpretation of a very deep and sexy groove that is hand’s down definitive deep house. Taking no prisoners and not asking twice, Golden lays down the scenario unapologetically: a woman who knows what she wants and how she wants it. Stripped down grooves lend the platform for the not so implied imperative, driving a narrative, mixed to make sure the story is understood implicitly. Lavelle is a consummate producer with impeccable taste and unparalleled chops. 

Lavelle is a London based composer and producer who has had a prolific career in music, both as a solo artist and film composer as well as writing and producing for the British collective UNKLE. He has worked with artists such as; Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Queens Of The Stone Age, Massive Attack, Ian Astbury, Autolux, Black Mountain, The Big Pink and Layo & Bushwacka. Aidan has releases on Rebellion, as well as remixes for labels such as Culprit, My Favourite Robot, Akbal Music, Dilate and Armada Deep. Aidan’s unique style and high production values have gained him support from the likes of Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex, Pan-Pot, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Tiefschwarz, Pete Tong, Sasha, Yousef, John Digweed, Layo & Bushwacka, Fur Coat, Francesca Lombardo, Rich Ahmed, Droog, Amirali… The list goes on.
The radio support also peaked with tracks on both Pete Tongs Essential Mix and his Evolution show on the other side of the pond as well as a host of globally spread plays on stations like Radio 1, Kiss FM, Juice FM, Screen FM, You FM, Galaxie FM etc.
