> Guillermo Brizio, guitarist known on the musical scene as "Willow" is
originally
> from Guadalajara and founder in the year 1967 of the 9pc. Ensemble
"39.4".
> He has participated in musical workshops and concerts organized by the
German Institute in Guadalajara with musicians such as Albert Mansgeldorf,
Rainier Bruninghaüs ,Mark Stockhaussen and Contact Trio.
> "Willow"  was also a part of the Jazz Ensemble of the Maestro Juan José
Verjan.
> The restaurant " Copenhagen 77 ", the second home of the renowned Mexican
> pianist : Maestro Carlos de la Torre, co produced the album "Jazz in
Guadalajara" which includes two of Willow songs titled "Amanecer" and "El
aguacatal".
>  The coveted position of honor to open the "Chick Corea Electric Band"
Concert
> in 1987 at the Cultural Institute Cabañas in Guadalajara , Jalisco is
still another highlight in Guillermo Brizio's musical journey !
> In 1990 with his wife and musical partner Beverly Moore, vocalist of 39.4
> (from 1977 to 1985) they accepted the offer to inaugurate the jazz club
"Visage"
> in Puerto Vallarta, where they stayed and currently reside as
"ambassadors" of
> Jazz in Puerto Vallarta. Together they opened  the "1st International
Jazz Festival" for the city in 1992 with: Willie Colón, Poncho Sánchez,
Dave Valentín, Tania María and Roberto Pereira to name a few of the great
talents gathered on that occasion.  Grammy award winner, Larry Henley, the
author of the iconic song
> "The Wing Beneath My Wings" collaborated with this dynamic duo
> "Beverly & Willow", to produce a CD titled "Entrada" at Insomnia Studios
in Nashville, Tennessee in 1997 More recently they took part in the launch
of an educational website called "Rifftime" during a recent visit to San
Francisco, Ca. They currently can be found on stage wherever music is the
order of the day in Puerto Vallarta in such venues as Cuates & Cuetes, El
Patio de Mi Casa, and The Jazz Foundation. .
