As part of my song cycle based on illness and disease I pulled this track I recorded about 8 byears ago and now call iyb"recovery because it sounds cheerful and optimistic and energetic... it sounds like a song you can blast with the top down on a sunny day.  mad props toAdamPrice for letting me sample his playing for 2 measures for a killer groove that permeates the track...  I love you brother...

Recovery

Written in the aftermath of the ill-fated invasion of Irag this was my love letter to W for making a mess of the Middle East. Sadly and most unfortunately the vocal track by California rapper/actor AuthorNYSE the lyrics couldnt have been better or more on point but for the life of me I cant find the final mix we did with his vocals. If I find it I'll repost.
Before this became a political protest song it originated as a drum track from one of my sons Max' (my son's)(friends who came into the studio one day and wanted to lay down some drum stuff he was working on. By any measure it was exceptional and extremely well recorded if I do say so myself because it was so well done I asked John if he minded if I threw some music tracks on top of it. He did not object and I'm so glad he didn't but I really enjoyed making this little song and it's kind of a metal aspect that I really enjoy it even has a middle eight reminiscent of my hero Ben Folds!

Not hsaving ANY of Mr.Benson's skills I tried ti write something that leveraged the sou8nf of flat wound strings on this wonderful sounding guitar, so I came up with this (and yet still couldn't resist putting a heavy-distortion Strat solo near the end...)
