This song was written by Linda Pieters & myself. I wrote the music and Linda wrote the lyrics. It's a beautiful song that she wrote for her daughter, it took me a week to write the music for it, she has posted a rendition of it on her SoundCloud channel under Melinda Hannsen, check it out, she's a great Country singer!  I remixed it and enhanced the music a bit with my instrumental track. The video took me about a couple of weeks to produce and edit together and I think it enhances the song really well. In a small town, where the rivers gently flow,
Lived a young girl with dreams, oh, she wanted to go,
With a heart full of courage, she said her goodbyes,
Left her family behind, under the big open skies,

She’s a wildflower in fields unknown,
Leavin’ home but her roots are still sown,
In her heart she carries the love that’s true,
A young girl on a journey, findin’ life anew,

With a backpack and a guitar by her side,
She hit the open road, let her spirit be her guide,
Through the fields and the valleys, she’d sing her song,
Her lover's love kept her strong all along,

Leavin’ home, but her roots are still sown,
In her heart she carries the love that’s true,
A young girl on a journey, findin’ life anew,

She faced storm and sunshine, 
Both joy and despair,
But the road taught her lessons, 
Made her heart more aware,
             
Years have gone by and she’s seen the world’s grand show,
But deep in her heart, there’s a place she’ll always know,
Where her family wait with open hearts and smiles,
Her love guiding life’s endless miles,     

She’s a wildflower in fields unknown,
Leavin’ home, but her roots are still sown,
In her heart, she carries the love that’s true,
A young girl on a journey, findin’ life anew,

Remember the love of a girl who dared to roam,
But the family’s love was the compass guiding her home,
In the tapestry of life, where the stories unfurl,
My wildflower, forever connected to her world.
