Ancient Egypt, land of great mystery, culture and achievements..
Land of Ra...
Ra is the Egyptian word for 'sun'. As a solar deity, Ra embodied the power of the sun but was also thought to be the sun itself, envisioned as the great god riding in his barge across the heavens throughout the day and descending into the underworld at sunset.
My ode to that great civilization and the Sun  responsible for all life on this planet..

A special thank you to Pamela Illanes, (https://soundcloud.com/user-315009621), a wonderful composer that even had her own work played by a real orchestra, early on during my writing I struggled with writers block for almost 2 weeks, one night we engaged in a conversation and Pam was very helpful, she gave me the patience and strength I needed at the time, writers block really gets to me. I heard Erik the Flutemaker describe how he imagined how the pre-historic man first came up with the flute concept.
He imagined a group of early humans living near a forest, occasionally weird sounds would come from the forest that scared them into running away, until a inquisitive ancestor ventured into the forest in search of this unworldly noise .
He found a bamboo that fell ,the little forest bugs ate the inside of the bamboo as it is soft and eventually decomposition made holes in to the bamboo.
Occasionally when it was windy and the wind blow from a certain angle its created a note, a sound.
And that ancestor of ours tried to understand the concept of wind, hollow bamboo with holes...
And maybe this was the way that the flute was born...
I loved that vision and when I saw this art work, it reminded me of this story and my creativity started to develop ...

There are forests on Earth that endure extreme winters, places where temperatures can reach up to -40/-50C.
They are called Taiga 
Plants and animals go into hibernation hoping they have stored enought nutrients to survive another extreme seasson.
A once thriving forest full of beauty, sounds and colours turn in to a deadly , almost lifeless , colourless and soundless frozen desert.
Life`s clock seems to slow down to a halt while hours turn to days , days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months.
Until the first sun rays strong enough to stop the ice and snow`s  deadly grip ,appear..
Like an explosion...Life`s clock speeds up while the forest heart beats faster and faster, the forest is awaking along with its inhabitants..
Spring returns ...Life begins ....again...
