Lighthouse is the follow up to the band’s 2014 album Belighted and features guests Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) & Mariusz Duda (Riverside, Lunatic Soul), Mixed By Marcel Van Limbeek (Tori Amos).

As with 'Belighted', the engineering and mixing on Lighthouse is handled by Marcel van Limbeek (Tori Amos) and self produced by Gleb and Marjana. The album also features guest musicians Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) on drums, Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) on bass and additional vocals on the album’s title track by Mariusz Duda - Official (Lunatic Soul, Riverside).

Computer Room is part of an ongoing field recording project focusing on recording of data centers. Field recordings were taken so far at HPC Imperial College London and UHeM Istanbul Technical University by Hazal Elif Yalvaç and Michael Bearpark. In the composition, the machines generating sounds as a result of workload are treated like ambient music and noise music machines. To this end, recordings are either processed intensively or left almost unprocessed to draw attention to the timbral and pitch characteristics and achieve a musical composition, i.e., music played by machines used at data centres.

Taken from 'Songs From The Ghost Light' - a companion release to Tim Bowness’s acclaimed Inside Out label albums, 'Abandoned Dancehall Dreams' (2014), 'Stupid Things That Mean The World' (2015) and 'Lost In The Ghost Light' (2017).

The CD edition - on Burning Shed - is a limited run and will sell for £6.99 at the pre-order stage. The 180g LP edition - on Plane Groovy - is also limited and comes on moon blue vinyl. The album is released on 18th August 2017.

Stupid Things That Mean The World (chamber Version)

Think dark alien landscape with a single computer terminal transmitting to the void

Rummaging through my Hard Drive and I came across this song. It's rather beautiful I think, if overly romantic. Probably early 2000—so Roland Super JV Pianos, Jupiter 6, Cheetah MS6 and my '80s Squire Strat with chorus. Vocal mic was probably a OKTAVA MK-219. there's an E-Bow and a lack of HPF! Keyboard reverb was probably a Yamaha Promix for the vocals a Roland SRV 330. Recorded onto that then new-fangled Pro Tools hardware using E-Magic Logic.
