MNMT Premiere: Dycide - Nean

Sanna Mun debuts on her imprint with Katabasis EP. The artist is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Her approach to production is inspired by her work as an archaeologist, using digital modeling and field recordings of ancient sites to extract their psychoacoustics. Katabasis started as an experimental techno event at Sameheads in Neukölln, Berlin in collaboration with local musicians and visual artists. The vision behind the project is to springboard underrepresented artists reinventing minimal, hypnotic, and early techno. Monument premieres "Chiaroscuro" track that will be out on the 9th of September.

Konduku (@kondukukonduku) returns to the Delsin Mantis series with an exciting double pack (Mantis 09 + 10) which dives deeper into his remarkable fractured rhythms and light-touch synthesis. Over the course of nine tracks Ruben Üvez straddles the space between introspective headphone trips and hypnotising dancefloor elegance, operating in a liminal zone of fluid tempos, submerged atmospheres and pointillist beats. It's an open-ended but clear-sighted approach that aligns perfectly with the direction of the Mantis series.

Mantis 10 opens up with the circular electronica of 'Trail', masking the start and end points of the groove with the kind of polymetric construction Üvez has made his name with. The pattern continues through the displaced, dubby experimentation of 'Lust' before the more sharply defined transcendental tone of 'Lavender' cuts through the fog. 'Dalgin' rides its pattering percussion on a minimalist D&B growl, setting the scene for the dislocated, avant-darkside closer 'Helles’.

Time flies by and reality hits hard as we watch the sunset, realising that summer will be over soon and autumn is fast upon us. Lay down on »DWIG« aka. »Die Wiese Im Garten« for a good cup of tea and some »Big Tales«.

»Orange Evening« (A1) shuffles a warm groove as you watch the first leaves dance in the wind, from the rocking chair on your grandpa’s porch – just the right spot for some »Big Tales« (A2) that paint a picture of times you never saw, but still remember. Thankfully, nobody judges us around here, so put on your »Dirty Dress« (B1) once again as the tempo turns up a notch.
