Prana was recorded and improvised live in an underground former silo in the deep southern Utah desert over the winter solstice. The temperature outside was at about 10 degrees below zero, inside a giant wood stove burned away, and all around were about twenty or so sonic journeyers forming a meditative circle on the slate floor. 

The album contains vocals - but no English - rather the vocalizations you hear are more channeled sounds intended keep our language centers quiet and our hearts open. 

5 extended tracks - running time 48 minutes. 
This is a gapless playback continuous listening experience.

There are certain nights that, when I DJ, I have absolutely no idea what I am going to spin. After all,  I approach the decks, armed to my ears with CD binders filled with all kids of genres, influences, styles, tempos and sonic weaponry; tools (if you will) for the dismantling and reassembling of the “self” through the kind of salvation that only music and dance provides. 

The following mix is a kind of "old-school-vs-nu-school"  Indo/Arab-centric vibes, that sources the sounds of a few music producing friends: Gaudi, Pierre Jean of Masaladosa, Govinda, Drum Spyder, MC Yogi, Amani of Desert Dwellers. This mix assembles itself as a spontaneously gentle combustion of tasty, unassuming groove over  the next 1:08:14

"This Summer Set is a mix of my various online events from 2020.
Let yourself be picked up by soft sounds, feel the rhythm and get carried away to ecstasy. Dance your emotions, connect with mother earth and fall into the soundscape that carries you through a journey of memories, new inspirations and ideas.

In the 80s I played in the legendary El Barco in Bad Kreuznach. El Barco was one of the coolest clubs of its time, very much influenced by the resident GIs, hip hop, rap and black music in general. In the meantime, I've switched from vinyl to digital, which also made my mixes more electrotonic.

Today they are a blend of soul-funk, house and chill-out lounge, but also world and tribal sounds, oriental and deep house.

I love music in all its facets. From jazz and blues to deep house including soul, acid jazz, funk, fusion, world, house and every kind of music that touches my soul.

I love to watch people carrying their feelings into their environment through dancing. When they move to the same beat, creating a connection to each other and filling the room with respect and love.
Since several years I’ve been playing at events off the beaten track where people are connecting to mother earth through dancing.
Ancient dance combines natural analogue instruments with the tonal variations of modern electronic music.

My sets take you on a sound journey of world bass music and future house breaks, mixed with renowned sounds of all genres.
A sound carpet that unites all of this and invites you on an unusual musical journey."
