Hello there, this track finally settles this whole album of mine. I'm really proud of what it looks like now and I had a lot of fun making it.

From now on I'll put my focus entirely on my upcoming group which would make me less active here on SoundCloud but I'll try my best to put some tracks here and then.

Two friends, seniors in high school, made the track ‘Gotham’ amidst being separated due to the war in Ukraine. 

They lived in the city of Kyiv for most of their lives and were bandmates at their school ‘PSI.’ They left the country for February break and were never able to return: the school got shut down and the war started. 

Working from a distance and wanting to speak up about the ongoing genocide Russia was committing, Martin sent Nora a haunting piano melody that she felt drawn to. She was inspired by the concept of Gotham City from Batman and felt as though Russia had turned cities in UA into dangerous and ghostly places.. like Gotham itself.  

The song took a while to create, with recording under a blanket, long periods of indecisiveness, and different time zones. However, the creative team supporting the song pushed through and made it happen. With the continuous Russian crimes against UA and the approaching of hallows eve... Gotham is here. This song is dedicated to Ukraine and its bravery.

Українські школяри написали англійською пісню «Gotham», аби світ почув, на що хоче перетворити їхню країну росія…

Всі вони жили в Києві, ходили до міжнародної школи, товаришували, робили музику, репетирували та навіть встигли вперше заграти live в парку ВДНГ. 18 лютого вони побачили один одного востаннє, роз‘їхались на тиждень на канікули і більше не повернулись…  Їхня школа зачинилась, і всі викладачі покинули країну. 

Переживати те, що коїлось в місті перших закоханостей та сподівань, проживати руйнування життя у всій країні один без одного було тяжко, тож друзі почали розділяти свої страждання через музику. 

Так меланхолічна мелодія Мартіна затягла Нору у темний світ міста Готхем, де діяв Бетмен. Вона написала текст до пісні, аби передати світу месседж, який би люди на Заході легко зрозуміли: Gotham — це місто-примара, на яке росія намагається перетворити українські міста.

«GOTHAM» записувався буквально під ковдрою за відсутності професійного обладнання та збирався друзями по всьому світу в різних часових зонах. «Gotham» має стати реальним саундтреком до цього Хелоуіну. 

Для тих, хто його святкує. Світ не має забувати, що доки вони популяризують свято страху через свою фантазію, найстрашніше відбувається у справжньому житті кожного українця.
