Inspired by the sounds of both Portishead and Kula Shaker, this track is concieved and performed by me. It contains words from a Hindu devotional chant, but I am not a Hindu nor a follower of Hare Krisha; It's just a music thing.

Inspired by the music of Portishead (and thus by film music of the early twentieth century) this is a low fidelity recording, using microphones to capture the 'sound in the room'. All sounds are played by the author.

The Fairground of Forgotten Theremins - a tune

This is the first track of what will be an album, with the sea and seafaring as a theme. It consists of found sounds integrated with bass guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals. The words and tune of the second part are from the sea shanty Roll the Old Chariot Along.

Slowly Through The Mariana Trench - A Tune

Realising how much modern rap includes orchestral sounds, I have moved slightly in that direction for this piece.  The strings are played on a virtual viola fingerboard - on an i-pad screen using Garageband. The bass guitar is a real one (Music Man Stingray) and the guitar is an old Hofner 173. the amps used are real too, the microphones capturing the sound-in-the-room on to Audacity tracks for later mixing.
