Prepare for the superhot meal of iO (Mulen)'s signature basslines, double dose of energy, premium collection of chords and a delicate pinch of those "oldie vibes" that are at the background of every single track in this 3x12". 1992, 1996 or 2005 - you'll decide the date of retro journey by yourself - the year doesn't really matter here. CARGO Recording is a project initiated by the IBOAT’s team in Bordeaux. It supports artists through various tools such as a label, artistic residencies, workshops, publishing, professional accompaniment and visual arts. Submarine Club Vol.1 is the culmination of an artistic project and an accomplished vision of contemporary electronic music. In this first volume, 12 artists deliver their audio definition of the IBOAT Club and submarine dance. May this compilation bring you the dance and pleasure that club culture has given us for so many years.

Logidy is renowned for his versatile range of original beats, spanning from dreamy soundscaped downtempo to captivating, high-energy dancefloor tracks. For his debut EP, Logidy takes a more head-on approach and swaps his bubbly sofa sound for four low-end-heavy dance tracks. In-between techy and trancy, the first three naturally aim for the club while the so-called beach mix pays warm respects to a certain place in north-berlin.

Pierre Codarin makes an anticipated return to his Spaghetti Club label this winter with his “High Times” EP. The UK producer never tires from evolving his sound, and throughout this cosmic four track record he addresses a multitude of territories, constructed upon refined house textures full of life for your record bag. Ain’t no time like a high time! 

The A side boots off with “Herbies Chanz”, punchy drums from the get go, conversing with a killer elasticated groove, animated with squelchy acid beeps. A slick house number for the heads. A delicious biscuit for some, but for Pierre Codarin “Viennese Whirl” is a tasty slab of wonked out funk for the dance floor. 

Title track “High Times” resides on the B side, spreading a feel good energy throughout. Intricately arranged with shining chords and a distinct drive at its heartbeat. Percussive bliss in the final track in “Ruff Rumble” perky congas lead the way bringing a fresh vibe to the EP, the mid way change up shifting the club into the next gear.
