I called the track ‘Velvet’ because of the way I was feeling when I wrote it, as well as all of the clothing imagery within the lyrics.
it’s a soft and sad but also comforting tune about letting go, feeling hurt but at the same time healing. And most of all, it’s about missing familiar love that is slowly becoming unfamiliar.
