Losing yourself in the dream of what could be instead of facing the reality of what is, feeling the echoes of someone’s touch, writing a letter and never sending it—it’s the kind of loop that we all face at some point in our 20s. For singer-songwriters Bella Andrews and Juliana Simone, “Never Home” is an exploration of life after losing
someone you thought would always be right in front of you. Rolling reverberated chords at the top of the song evoke a crashed wave’s memory against the amber glow of a West Coast sun, accompanied by melancholic yet angelic voices that invite you to land in that bittersweet corner of nostalgia and sadness.
