Introduction in English:

Sometimes I wonder if there is some kind of ‘safe place’ in this world. Everywhere I look: Wars, climate disasters, starvation and poverty. Not to mention the increasing everyday violence at home, in the neighbourhood and on the streets.
As early as 1962, John Lennon described in the song ‘There's a Place’ (perhaps also under the impression of the Cuban Missile Crisis at the time with the acute threat of a third world war) that sometimes the only thing left to do is to retreat to an inner safe place when the outside world (as is now increasingly the case again) is increasingly on the brink of an abyss.
In this respect, this song is highly topical, although I would like to add that the search for the inner safe place should only ever be temporary, in order to regain strength there (for example through one's own musical creativity) in order to make a greater contribution to the preservation of the earth and human coexistence in the outer world.
I am sure that John Lennon meant this kind of fluid balance between gathering oneself inwardly and being lovingly in the world.

Manchmal frage ich mich, ob es auf dieser Welt eine Art "Sicherer Ort" gibt. Wo ich hinschaue: Kriege, Klimakatastrophen, Hungern und Armut. Ganz zu schweigen von der zunehmenden alltäglichen Gewalt zu Hause, in der Nachbarschaft und auf den Strassen.
John Lennon hat (vielleicht auch unter dem Eindruck der damaligen Kuba-Krise mit akuter Dritte Weltkriegsgefahr) in dem Song "There's a Place" schon 1962 beschrieben, dass einem manchmal nur der Rückzug an einen inneren sicheren Ort verbleibt, wenn die äußere Welt (wie jetzt zusehends wieder) zusehends an einem Abgrund steht.
Insofern ist dieser Song brandaktuell, wobei ich hinzufügen möchte, dass das Aufsuchen des inneren sicheren Ortes immer wieder nur vorübergehend erfolgen sollte, um dort (etwa über eigenes musikalisches Schaffen) wieder Kraft zu sammeln, um in der äußeren Welt verstärkt einen eigenen Beitrag zum Erhalt der Erde und des menschlichen Miteinanders zu leisten.
Ich bin mir sicher, dass John Lennon diese Art von Fließgleichgewicht zwischen sich innerlich sammeln und liebevoll in der Welt sein gemeint hat.
