This is an instrumental of a song of mine, "Comin' Home By Goin' Away". It's humbly  inspired by my appreciation of the gorgeous interplay in the work of Bill Frissell and Greg Leisz. Yours truly is playing the dobro, steel, and guitar. The song was recorded about a dozen years ago for a duo album with my talented singer/songwriter friend, Brent Kirby. The album was not completed and hence never released but there were a number of tracks that remain lovely reminder of the sessions.

01 Comin' Home - Inst.

In 1996, Hillbilly Idol was a 4 piece honky tonk band. It was Paul Kovac on guitar, banjo, mandolin and lead vocals, Me, (Al Moss)pedal steel/ acoustic guitar/ vocals, Bill Watson, acoustic bass/vocals, and Scott Flowers, drums. 
We did this little 5 song demo on my Fostex 4 channel cassette tape machine and recorded a little collection of covers to pitch for gigs.   This little demo feels like a rediscovered bootleg of sorts and a charming celebration of our hillbilly idols. Cheers

Goin Steady

Here's 11 of the 19 tracks that were the soundtrack for a documentary film of which I was a part back in the early '90's. The film was called "The Longest Day - of Nelson" and it documented a 24 hour marathon sports car race held annually at the Nelson Sports Car racetrack in Nelson, OH. The film has not been completed for release but there is a rough cut version of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tcrsYm2sDw  Pianist, Mike Petrone and I wrote and performed the music along with Bill Watson on basses, Roy King on drums, and Tom Wiggins on Keys. It was recorded at Tom's, "Studio Guy" studio in Cleveland, OH. The 11 tunes are in the order that they appeared in the film. Cheers
