Unrecognized is about physical and emotional abuse. I believe as a society it’s more and more prevalent and through this song, I wanted to bring awareness and take the listener on a deep truthful journey through the anguish.

"Mason Rose’s latest single, Blink Of An Eye takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions as she reveals her childhood memories. Despite the fact that the story is based on poverty and hardship, she still has a positive reflection and fondness of her childhood growing up. Although she grew up in a poverty stricken household with a traumatic upbringing she tells the story of how she overcame it by hard work and perseverance, training to become a Pediatric nurse ultimately to help heal children through singing and dancing.

Mason Rose expresses her vulnerability and innocence throughout Blink Of An Eye, as you imagine her smiling whilst telling her story with deep husky and airy like vocals. Mason Rose's lyrics are heartfelt, raw and real exposing many colors and faucets. The chorus has a more light and upbeat change in tempo. The bridge is sassy and groovy as she recalls an old memory where her brother convinced her and sister to steal money out of their parents green chest to buy candy and donuts from the gas station, later throwing the garbage out the window hoping their parents would never find out. Still to this day makes her laugh. 

Blink Of An Eye has the perfect ending as it features the innocent and playful giggles and voices of her nieces, who she adores. Mason Rose is very close to her family and wants to spread the message that however much pain she’s endured she still has a healthy and loving relationship with them. She recollects bringing old photos of herself as a child into the recording studio stirring up old emotions as she sang from her heart. Her intention was to show the wave of emotions we all endure.
