Belgium’s Kr!z aka Mr Token has been back in the studio as of late, producing EP’s for James Ruskin’s Blueprint label as well as a split EP “Purification of Malice” on the ever excellent MindTrip Records. With his hard work and dedication to the techno scene since 15 years, the veteran DJ knows what real techno sounds like. He now makes his first appearance on the fledging SKX series from Setaoc Mass’s SK11 label. 4 cuts of of classic techno sounds, mixed with modern production techniques make this EP a pure standout from the past SKX releases, bringing the 90’s flair to 2022.

We welcome to [R]3volution Records to a great artist such as Raimond Ford. His story began in the late 1980s, thanks to a growing intense passion for electronic music, Dijng's art, and old synthesizers. Suddenly, in the 1991, he found himself involved in the lifestyle of Zürich, characterized, at the time, by a very animated underground movement tied to the first Rave parties in Switzerland. For 10 years he had been engaged full time with the promotion of very innovative and original techno/trance sounds; at first in Switzerland and in the south of the Alps, later also abroad (in Italy, France, German, Netherlands, USA, Australia), as an exponent of his own nation, through the collaboration with several other artists. Currently his musical production is focused on his label 3-4-1 Cuts Dark with a few selected appearances on other labels such as  [R]3volution Records of course! his debut on our roster is an intense 4 tracker EP called 'Sections3 A-D'

Third transmission of the SK11X series off-shoot helmed by Setaoc Mass comes via rising Belgian protege Border One. A staple figure of the respected Voltage Festival in his own country, Border One's raw, insistent sound has seen him release on Key Vinyl, Form & Function, and his own self-titled imprint whilst also featuring on DVS1's revered fabric mix. On the Restless EP however he hits his stride, steadily building intensity through restrained repetition and droning, hypnotic sound design on the opening pairing of "Crude". On the B-side, "Derail" clashes harsher hi-hats to a looping, angst-riddled groove, whilst "Restless" releases the tension with its bouncier pummel and high-pressure torque.

Border One - Restless EP SK11X003

The next instalment on SK_X sees Belgian producer Phara join his Voltage Festival member Border One on the series for a batch of expertly constructed, surefooted rolling techno.  His Life Of Krumar EP comes after a string of releases on respected imprints such as an upcoming Soma release, as well as Planet Rhythm and Stockholm LTD, CLERGY .. opening with the driving energy of ‘A1’, blending rampant open hats and surging synth swells to create serious tension.  On the flip, B1 maintains the same force albeit with rougher drum-work whilst B2 steam lines it down to an insistent moment of dance floor delirium.

With notable releases on his imprint Autonome Records alongside Oktobr and amazing remixes in the last year, this record is really one to put Arkan on the map. The ‘Skalter’ EP is 4 tracks full of groove and energy, already being supported by top names in the scene.
