Each time, I feel fresh and new, as if it were the first time I had learned to play. I bought a 7-string a few years ago as a trial, and now I can't live without it. My daughter dropped my previous 7 string guitar off the wall and it was beyond repair. I'm glad she wasn't hurt, but the sound was still lacking for me with only 6 strings. I have not been working well lately, so having a new guitar in the house was the first happiness I have had in a long time.

Lately, the 8-string guitar has become an integral part of my songs. I don't know how long I can keep this style going, but I try to do interesting things in my songs whenever possible. Strumming the bass strings in the clean tones is one example, but I don't actually use the bass guitar in that part. In other parts I play the bass guitar myself, of course.
