SLC-6 Music continues a strong spring season by showcasing new interpretations of D.J. MacIntyre's 'Phoenix Rising'. As a standout on the American artist's debut album 'Tandava', 'Phoenix Rising' has enjoyed two reincarnations over the last half decade, with Peitzke and Edvard Hunger turning in stellar reworks in 2018 and 2020 respectively. Looking to breathe new life into the production, SLC-6 Music invites Ziger, Agustin Pietrocola, KAZKO and Dr Chrispy to re-imagine the track for the impending summer season.

Next up and also making his label debut is Agustin Pietrocola. Emerging in 2017 with a string of releases via Mystic Carousel Records, the Argentinean artist went on to showcase his progressive sound via Deepwibe Underground, Droid9, Mango Alley and Movement Recordings. Inspired by the likes of Guy J, Marcelo Vasami and Pole Folder, Agustin makes his SLC-6 Music debut with a powerful rendition of 'Phoenix Rising'. Taking a cue from the original, while adding a deeper state of mind, the Tandil resident carves out a chunky groove adorned with neatly manicured percussion and percolating synth lines. Ghostly overlays provide a unique emotional response across the first act, setting a clear path into an emotive break. Compelling and poignant, the centrepiece is an enlightening experience, with its bright tonal themes and fragmented vocals setting the course for a thumping drop and heads down finale.

Transensations Records opens the month of November welcoming RUBEN KARAPETYAN back to the label with the single THE TRUTH , alongside top notch remixes from FELIPE NOVAES, ORNERY , MATT OLIVER & MIND ECHOES. Born in Armenia but now calling Los Angeles home, Ruben Karapetyan quickly emerged as a hyped talent in the trend-driven state of progressive house becoming one of the main genre actual artists. Title theme is anchored by a warm and rippling groove, emerging melodies with a denser and more rhythmic ambience creates a hypnotic atmosphere bound to conquer the dance floor audience. The first remix comes from the Brazilian talented producer Felipe Novaes with releases on D NOX Sprout label and Univack, Felipe returns to Transensations with a stunning remix, presenting a perfect balance of warmth and fluid rhythms, obscure melodies groove and atmospheric textures. Next remix comes from the Germany based artist Ornery, which drifts closer to melodic techno territory with growling synths and dark, chugging grooves . Closing the EP, the Brazilian rising talents Matt Oliver and Mind Echoes, presents a remix witch crafts a gorgeous lead line and balmy atmospherics for sure fire dance floor elation. Oddzero - Sick World [My Techno Weighs A Ton]

After killer releases on Bedrock and Suara - 2017 sparked into life for James through a huge, tastemaker and specialist conquering EP on Sascha Braemer’s What I Play, which was quickly followed by ‘Black Magic’ - a full-bodied, Ibiza slaying collab with Barber on the enigmatic Flashmob.

And further proving those DJ credentials set some ten years ago through regular slots at The Cross, MoS and The Key - James has been building fanbases in burgeoning hot-spots like Ukraine, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Bali and Singapore; while strengthening German profile via frequent gigs at Sisyphos and knocking at the major league door with a guest spot at Womb, Japan.

His scene-wide reputation as a DJ gig / tour self-starter, has since spurred him on to create his very own touring agency - Flow; one whose roster already boasts Animal Picnic, Aaron and Djuma Soundsytem.

And this passion for collaborating with producers is key for James artistically too, as he continues to work with long time partners Rory Gallagher and Barber, while also beginning a fruitful new partnership with the widely revered Third Son that's set to become a new hotbed for Trystan bombs.

Speaking of James’ future arsenal - soon after emerging from a lengthy Winter tour of Asia, he’s straight out the musical traps with a Spring EP on Dear Deer (ft. Jonas Saalbach remix) as well as early Summer releases on Steyoyoke and Ballroom.
