Presenting the 2,5hr recording from when I warmed up for Todd Edwards with Tiago Walter.  As you can tell from the artwork we are big fans.

Frankly, I didn't talk about anything but Todd Edwards for the entire week before the gig but when the sound tech handed me a microphone and I was looking into the whites of Todd's eyes I managed to make a world-class blunder.

Todd was such a gent that I couldn't deprive the world of the end of this mix.

Steamy Selects 005 - Kerouac & Steamy Bumplings

Ahead of his debut for us on the 19th of July, we asked Louie to put together a mix for us.

The result is a carefully constructed 90 minute journey through his wide-ranging record bag of EBM, techno and electro infused sounds. 

Louie has been a good friend of ours for some time now, a seasoned digger and this mix is a statement of his selecting and mixing skills. 

We’re ecstatic to supply this mix a platform, and even more excited for Louie to join us in a few weeks time at City Pride.

Introducing the third release from Valencia-rooted label Aloque. After two fully sold-out outings, the story continues with Eggheads — the duo of @v_s_a_n & @picassodj — who deliver a refined sonic statement with their EP Overeasy.

Victor and Sam first crossed paths just over two years ago. A year later, a spontaneous joke about eggs during a paella in Valencia turned into a name — Eggheads — and later became the title of their first EP together.

Opening the record is "Hands Up, Johnson!", an electro-tech track with energetic rhythms, evolving atmospheres and intricate textures. "Morning Glory" follows, with ethereal vocals, lingering whispers, and a warm rolling bassline.

On the flip side, "Hatma Dub" immerses you in dubby atmospheres and soulful reggae vocals, while "Bubble & Squeek" closes the EP with elegant congas, lush pads, and playful melodic motifs that perfectly complement the organic energy of the record.

'Overeasy' continues to shape Aloque’s musical identity, taking the label beyond Valencia. Victor and Sam capture the playful spirit of their gatherings in every track, making this release a vibrant addition to any vinyl collection.
